retailers & restaurants. Also in Frandor is Video to Go, one of
the best video rental stores in the area (and one of the last non-chain
rental establishments in the region).
- South

This area has many of the larger shopping establishments and a rash
of hardware/home stores (i.e., Lowes, Menards, Home Depot). Target,
Meijer, Sam's Club, and a number of chain and local restaurants are

Groceries & Food
- Goodrich's Shoprite
(Trowbridge Plaza, 940 Trowbridge Road, East Lansing)
This is a great grocery store with a good variety of brands & international foods and a fabulous wine and beer selection. Their meat department is one of the friendliest and best in town, and can provide cuts to specification.
- Meijer Superstores
(Okemos, East Lansing, and South Lansing)
This regional chain superstore is still family owned, and stocks Michigan produce whenever possible. A "great one-stop shop" and, for out-of-staters, quite an experience. Watch out for "Meijer syndrome" though - it's easy to get lost in over-stimulation.
- Kroger
Food Stores (Frandor Shopping Center, South Lansing, Okemos)
A solid grocery store.
- L&L Food Stores
(East Lansing, Okemos/Haslett/Lansing)
Another solid grocery store.
- Horrocks Farm Market (7420 West Saginaw Highway,
Lansing)
Produce, meats, cheeses, and greenhouse
